I have started back into my own work. Most of my focus as been on the danma VS v2r2 collaborative and the move out to PDX. I am planing on finishing 4 to 6 medium sized canvases and a number of smaller works.

I grew up a bit in Paducah, Kentucky. Played around a lot with the neighborhood kids in the sticks.
Older work when I was heavily involved in photography and the subject of identity. Photography has really changed since then. Digital was just coming out. I was living in the darkroom.

I feel this painting departs from my older paintings which was more about the exact and clean execution of ink and water colors. The work is more loose, expressive, and confident. I believe my hiatus away from my personal work was instrumental in creating this piece.
