Alyda Rodriguez

February 5, 2020 by danma 3 Comments

My on going community help through my web and marketing talents has me looking into “medical billing remote service provider”. Before jumping into creating another WP site, I wanted to do some preliminary SEO research. After some digging around, I believe I have very basic understanding in what type of industry Alyda is in. So since the Affordable Care Act happened the healthcare sector has boomed. The thing I didn’t understand is why would doctors want to outsource their billing. If my research and understanding is correct, it is because insurance companies don’t want to pay, so that created a convoluted payment system that would necessitate experts to send out electronic payment requests.

Action List

  • 2/20/2020: After confirming the domain transfer, I created the site and changed the MX records for her G Suite email. I also did the following work to the homepage:
    • Color choices
    • messaging
    • hero
    • CTAs placeholders created
  • 2/23/2020: I updated a draft for the menu, which the navigation doesn’t link to real pages.

Keyword research

“medical billing remote service provider portland oregon” yeilds the following local SERP:
1. https://www.efficientmbs.com/
2. https://mbamedical.com/
3. https://cascadiabhc.org/ (this is not a good Google recommendation)

“Chiropractic billing services” looks to be a good keyword to reach for, but “massage therapy billing services” doesn’t have a lot of searches.

Client info

BridgeCityMedicalBilling.com was purchased and even has a WP started (presumably at the old Lightning Hand Academy‘s host provider). Given the research that I commented down below, and if I did my research right, it looks like the domain name will be good; we will have to create pages for her specialties (Chiro & Massage).

I’m a medical billing remote service provider for Chiropractic and massage specialties. I would search “chiropractic billing software and services” to get closer to what I do.
My biggest competitors are the billing services with:
Chirofusion
Chirotouch
Kareo

Design Ideas

Seeking out a solution for the home page hero. Looking at the following sites because Alyda specializes in the chiropractic field:

  • https://eastportlandchiropractor.com/: I like the healthy-athletic vibe. I think the colors are good choices.
  • https://citychiro.net/: I like the city vibe and would help the local concept.

I did the same for the massage industry:

  • https://elementsmassage.com/portland-pearl-district: This color palette, though a little too strong for our direction, is similar to https://eastportlandchiropractor.com/, which has a little more balance in my opinion.
  • http://www.mudramassage.net/: This is okay.
  • http://www.zamamassage.com/: This is different.

Wing Chun PDX Redesign

October 3, 2019 by danma 17 Comments

I have enabled eCommerce capabilities and a student only social platform. This test site is running off the Genesis theme. We found an area of concern about the test-site’s log on speed. I ran some tests below, and while I understand that the test sample is inadequate, feel strongly that Ray’s hosting service is slow. I have optimized the test-site on my host server.

Action List

  1. Install in Genesis Theme
  2. Design homepage
  3. Copy content
  4. WooComerce
  5. Buddypress
    1. Youzer
      1. Fix duplicate button issue
  6. Speed performance
    1. Migrate current test site on Ray’s server to my server: http://test.regroovemeditation.com
    2. Small sample load time tests
  7. Updated: http://www.testsite.wingchunpdx.com/online-documents/
  8. Updated http://test.regroovemeditation.com/ in preparation for Siteground migration
    1. Screaming Frog crawl on https://www.wingchunpdx.com/ for redirects
    2. Created Siteground account
    3. Point Domain (from Dreamhost) to Siteground
    4. Created all redirects for all 404 pages
  9. Added Social login.
  10. Helped client set up reCaptcha

The Art of JKD Redesign

October 3, 2019 by danma Leave a Comment

You know I had planned all of this in advance by taking pictures of this site before my whole redesign, but screen captures of my client’s WIX site are lost!

Above are images as of the site from today. He is actively changing the site to suite his evolving needs. I created a WP site and set up a subscription eCommerce platform using Woocomerce. I also set up video on demand capabilities. Your experience will not get to see these capabilities as my client has a selective clientele procedure–that and he changed his mind to option to use Vimeo on Demand instead.
